Dreamation 97:

    Doinky began to become more aware of the political environment of the Nexus, and began to spend some time away from the skill challenges in which he had excelled during his first year in the Nexus. He attempted to get involved in the drama of the "Vector Crisis" (see House Octagon's page for more information) but, as it seemed as if his help was not needed, he stepped back into some skill challenges and was pleased to find out later that the Nexus was indeed restored.

    At the Bazaar, he met two novice Duelists, Kagato and Pythos, and welcomed them to the House. Both seemed to take an interest in the recent goings-on involving the "minions" that were appearing in the house, and Doinky informed them of the council meeting that was occurring soon. Additionally, Doinky managed to summon up a few minions of his own for the house.

    At a brilliant skill challenge of Scattergories later that evening, Doinky, having met the current House Leader, Krypton, offered himself as the new leader. Krypton and the other Renaissance in the room (and there were, quite naturally, quite a number of them) elected Doinky to that position. Pythos had also, it was later revealed, sought the seat, but his challenge was overruled, and Krypton passed the ceremonial Icon of Peace to his successor.

    During the battle of the Minions, House Renaissance was quickly outnumbered, and allied itself with House Octagon for
protection, thus joining in on the sides of all those who "piled on the roach" in the final battle.
 

DexCon 6: Events During Strongholds

    The Stronghold of House Renaissance, The Great Library at Mount Clifftop, was established by Doinky. He, Pythos, and
Kagato stocked the stronghold and then went on to take several territories of the Nexus. Unfortunately, the Lightfoots, Lugosis
and Octagons at their borders took advantage of Doinky's later absence to rob the House of some of their acquisitions.
Nevertheless, the House did manage to end the gathering with a respectable 15 territories to its name.

    Doinky, the Chosen One of House Renaissance, was captured and trapped by a nefarious plot attributed to David Draxx,
formerly of House Lugosi. Through the actions of Pythos, Kagato, and non-Duelist avatars such as Spew of Ares, Doinky, as
well as the rest of the other captured Chosen Ones were rescued.
 

Shorecon 97:  House Renaissance has acquired its Young Power

    They are the official detectives of the Nexus, to complement the arrest, warrant, and judge powers. Their testimony would
carry the weight of "expert" status. And if a Duelist comes to a Nexus Master with a material piece of evidence or an
informational lead (like an eyewitness report, or a psychological profile, or a rumor) that is actually related to the incident
he's sleuthing, then he gets a clue, or "hunch." He could study the scene of the crime/incident. He could also go to a player
(not character) involved who, if he's willing, can give a clue. The fourth level "research" nexus power (if anyone decides to
create it) would be more advanced, but this 'hunch" would be invaluable in determining what to research. Additionally,
Renaissance Laboratories is available once per hour to analyze a specific item. The item must be brought to a Nexus Master
while the analysis is taking place. Results will be given one hour later. This may only be done once per hour -- only 24
analyses can be performed, no matter who hands in the item.

    This power was acquired for the house through the combined efforts of Doinky, Kagato and Kyouya, aided by members of
many other houses present at this mini-gathering. Special thanks must be given to Nilaviri De'vive and The Man Under the
Bridge of House Lightfoot. Although many have criticized them for some of their actions during the gathering, they did show
their true honorable selves as the Nexus began to close its gates...
 

Dreamation 98:

    Results of the Great Caucus: Kagato was named House Leader, Doinky was 'named' Council Representative, and Daphne Jenga was named Chosen One. Doinky ceremoniously passed down the Icon of Peace to Kagato. Additionally, issues of the goings on in the 15 house territories were discussed, and Mental was reprimanded for his attempted assassination of the bride and groom at the wedding of Michael Lovious Smith and Ælfgifu Germegath.

    Additionally, the actions of the Duelists during this gathering, analyzing the many chalices, essences, and "fizzies", as well as actions by Doinky and others to solve (or attempt to) the problems of the Furies, the soul-eaters, and the change of Lovious of Godot to Lovious of Canterbury, earned the respect of many of the other Houses of the Nexus. House Renaissance, once a
house many wrongly felt they could ignore, has established its importance to the others.

    Furthermore, during the "Awakenings", some Renaissance territory truly blossomed. Renaissance Labs was established in the shadow of Mount Clifftop, and its population began tremendous growth as cloning technology took hold. Numerous armies were built up (for defensive purposes, of course.) Designs were made on the Lightfoot territories in the region that had once belonged to Renaissance. Unfortunately, The Ivory Tower, controlled by a new Duelist named Kamui, fell into disrepair, and
the Soul-Eaters seem to have temporarily seized control of the territory.  The territory was formally handed over to the House Head to be investigated
 

Spring Gathering 98:
    Written by Doinky

    During this gathering, Doinky discovered some of the difficulties associated with his scientific profession. Due to some magical (Cthulian) agents beyond his control, an experiment of his on the dog Verdant turned horribly wrong, and Verdant became a horrible monster bent on destroying Doinky and Canis Minor. Unfortunately, Doinky was unable to do anything to stop that, because as he was attempting to rectify that problem, the force of chaos intervened, trapping Doinky in a leaf of the world tree. He was finally freed through the actions of other avatars, including King Mordred and Baron Sunburst of Avalon, and Kara of Helvetia. He also met an interesting character named Yen Sid, who claimed to be the father of the Nexus, a Nexus which now wished to destroy all of the avatars infecting it. But before Doinky could do much about this, he was coerced onto a team of eight avatars sent on a mysterious journey to Sector Delta 667JG in a search for Garth. Doinky's scientific skills proved useful on the trip, but the trip was a disaster, as the Avatars realized (too late!) that they were the cause of the problem, due to a strange temporal rift.

    During this brief gathering, Doinky and an assembled team completed his experimentation on the Phaganimus Apparitionalis contained in Renaissance Laboratories, and he presented his findings and recommendations to the Council. Kagato was very involved in the recovery of Talgar of Galahad, who had been captured by odd creatures known as "Shadows". Unfortunately, it was learned through this recovery that Dr. Schrect had been instrumental in this. Schrect's activities during the gathering, charming many, were also suspect. After the gathering, Schrect disappeared. His last known whereabouts are somewhere on the Babylon 5 space station.

    In addition, a new Duelist, Dr. Schrect, came in and made his presence known both to the Duelists there and to the general Avatar public. However, as his emergence coincided with that of the disappearance of Sir Talgar of House Galahad, there was some suspicion attached to this avatar.

    This was a rather short Gathering during which, several "Teams" of Avatars Journeyed to find the pieces of a rune that was required to defeat Heyden, aka "Yen Sid".  While we normally prefer not to get involved with journeying, a member of the House was on every mission, and (with a certain amount of pride) performed admirably. I myself led 2 missions and returned successfully with no casualties. On a personal note, I have started Project NRC-7 with 7 Avatars participating in this project.
 

Pre-Gathering: Omens and Portents

    Word has reached me that this Nexus is coming to an end, and I am prepared for the move.  Territories have been acting strangely lately, notably the Ivory Tower.  I will investigate this before the Council meeting.
 

Pre-Gathering: The End is Nigh

    At long last we have taken full control of the House.  The former Council Representative, and head of the Anti-Souleater contingent, Doinky, was removed from the Nexus Council meeting by Kilraven before the vote for the new government could be completed.  All hail the Great and Glorious Emperor Fomac the First!
 

Spring Gathering 99: A Brave New World

    There have been many changes to the Nexus, most notably, The new House Delphi.  What could a house of "seers" know what we do not?  I must say, this new Nexus is well suited for our goals.  Even though an air of suspicion surrounds me, I have secured control of the House for our cause.  Many other Avatars have come over with me, and I have yet to determine if their presence will be a benefit to us.

    The first meeting of the Nexus Judiciary went unbelievably smoothly, soon they all will be under our control.  I am beginning to think the others suspect something is amiss, especially that witch Washu, she seems to sense something the others do not.  I will have to do something about her.
 

Lovicon IVx: An end, and a beginning

    For the past several centuries, a plague has withered House Renaissance: The Souleaters.  I have been witness to their acts, and have suffered for it.  For the past 300 years, myself and several other members of the House Renaissance Leadership Committee have been held prisoners of the Souleaters, and have had doubles put in our places.  But, with the help of House Avalon,  The Sheriff's Department, and a new member of the House (and an old friend): Yakage, they have been repulsed from the Nexus.

    There has not been much going on at Gatherings as of late, and this disturbs me.  And what of this new 'Triumvirate'  that has split from the Nexus Council?  There also seem to exist, at various points in the Nexus, locations that are very similar to Territories, but at the same time not.  The most prominent of these 'echoes' is 'The Temple of Fire and Ice'.  I intend to study these locations further.

    And so, another Gathering concludes.  It has come to my attention that members of The House have been (and are being) held against their will by a creation of the Former Council Representative for this House, and it will not be tolerated.  I have placed a bounty of 2,500 Credits on 11209007's head.
