Sporadic Rant:
I'm back, and I had a great time, even though it was only for 2 days. I went on a last minute whim (yes, United spanked me for the airfare, but not as much as the other airlines would have) to surprise my friend Chad and his girlfriend Fiona whom are recently returned from Hong Kong. He'll be out of the country again for an entire year, and it had been a year and a half since I last went back to Indianapolis, so I figured it was way overdue. I also met my old school friends Dave and Brian, both of whom can be found somewhere on my personal page which hasn't been updated in a couple of years.
I was planning on updating yesterday, but the heavens conspired against me by raining severely in the New York area for several hours, making my stay in Dulles Airport quite a bit longer than expected. Whee. Add to that the hydraulics problems which developed on the plane when it landed, and you get a big-ass eight hour delay. Whee again.
Today's comic deals with guy-to-guy relationships. I have (I think) a very strong bond with my friend Brian, but we've never really said too much about it. For starters, Brian is a pretty uncommunicative and reserved guy; add to that all manners of typical guy bullshit/cultural ideas of machismo, and you get a friendship that seems very superficial at first glance but is actually very deep and bound quite tightly. The rest of the week will chronicle my Adventures in Indianapolis, and the next anime installment probably won't get done until next Monday. It may go up this weekend if I get cracking on it, but I highly doubt it as I will be out of town again, this time attending a wedding. I'll try and make a push for this Friday, but we'll just have to see, won't we? :)
