Sporadic Rant:
Before I get an earful from the reading audience, let me divulge the fact that Tim and Andy wrote today's comic (as if you hadn't guessed already). This is an old response to a previous comic which Robin and Alison wrote. I just can't wait to see what the girls come up with after they see today's comic. Alison's reaction to today's comic: Gimme another comic [to do]. The sh*t has hit the fan.
I basically spent the entire afternoon in the computer lab today, but the end result was five brand new comics (one by Alison, who was working there at the time) which will fill up the rest of this week. So don't forget to check back each and every day of this week to get your regular dosage of BBoCS.
A female reader wrote in and asked what Robin and Alison's attitudes were concerning their sometimes ribald portrayal in the strip, such as the exotic dancers in the Flash animation. I forwarded her an excerpt of an e-mail Robin sent me. This answers it much better than anything I could say:
I should have expected you to put Ali and I as dancing girls. Very good animation. I LOVE IT!!!!
So that about wraps up that subject. My fractured ankle is well on the road to recovery, and I'm off my crutches, even though I probably shouldn't be. I had it treated with acupuncture, which is supposed to cut two weeks off the recovery time. It seems to have lived up to its billing, and I did feel a hell of a lot better after I had it done. I was a little wary about having needles stuck in my ankle and ear, but it didn't hurt at all and everything worked out to my benefit in the end.
