Sporadic Rant:
This strip is very much a tribute to Bill Watterson who drew the much-loved Calvin and Hobbes. I'm of the firm opinion that the art is half of what makes a good comic tick. Although I recognize Illiad's talents and give him all due respect, I'll never be a really big fan of User Friendly because of the style of the strip's art (I'm also not a hardcore Linux person, either). My personal favorites are Penny Arcade and Sluggy Freelance, among others found in the Links section, because they are both funny and well-drawn. Today's strip just couldn't have been carried off with sub-par cartooning (not that I'm exalting my own artistic ability, mind you). It's really the last panel that makes this strip work, especially the funny ballet pose.
