The Archduke of Salisbury, Lord
Morglain Sunburst:
A peer of the House of Avalon,
and a noble yet mysterious soul.
As a silver elf, his life is part of the court of the Seele as of Avalon as well. Lord Pendragon has also granted him the title Royal Mage of Avalon. Archduke Sumburst seems to be composed of the shadowstuff he controls and when he is distracted, parts of him seem to shift to shadow. At 5 11", he stands a tall, dark silver elf in his cascading cloak of deep black and his robes so black as to be devoid of substance. At times the Dragon symbol of Avalon and the Sunburst symbol of Salisbury appear on a field of blue on his chest, but as quickly will fall into the darkness that is his robes. His bronze speckled eyes are soft and endearing to the fairer sex but can also erupt into blazing balls of fire under stress excitement or anger. Archduke Sunburst rule Salisbury from afar but keeps a tight hand and has been known to go amonst his people for generations at a time. When in his domain Archduke Sunburst is master of Wyvernn Hall, a great castle, where the arts of magic have been studied for ages. This fortress is guarded by an enchanted lake and warded by the magical arts . . . It is quite beautiful.

THE TALE OF SUNBURST:
Windswept shadows surged down the road into New Pendragon. The shadows coalesced into a black rider on a black stallion as they approached the city. The stylized bursting sun next to the dragon symbols on his chest were almost unseen under the floating shadows over his chest. The normally bronze eyes glowed with orange fire as he reached the city square. Here, a black tower jutted into the sky as it had for hundreds of years. No one ever enters or leaves the tower and it is legend that it sits in wait for the Grand Avatar! The bronze door that is the only entrance to the tower has a large engraving made centuries before. It reads:
Honor
and Glory be to Avalon"Tis be my epitaph," murmurs the rider as he dismounts. The stallion moves away from the rider and then seems to disappear into shadows, as if it had not been there. The rider walks to the Bronze door and steps through them into the darkness within. Soon afterward, blasts of light come flying from the top of the tower, striking the nearby lake as well as the close mountains and the castles of Salisbury! Bells soon begin to toll from the abbeys and towers that dot the countryside! News spreads quickly and surely: The Archduke has returned!Guardian of Stonehenge
Many venture to the capitol of Salisbury. Lords and ladies as well as monks, mages and druids. Most travel to the tower in hopes of seeing the Archduke. Only a few travel to the castle that is his home in Salisbury. Alison the Goode is one of those few. With her entourage, she winds out of the Three Towers Medical Facility and makes her way to the castle. Her servitors are harried and time worn as they battle the surging soul-eaters. But her face is as new and young as a fifteen year old would be. The ravages of time would be harsh, if not for the gift of the Avatar. It is rumor that she came with the Archduke when he first came to Salisbury and has remained to safeguard the rule of Avalon when he is elsewhere. Some might call her diety..but not to her face! Archduke Sunburst awaits the arrival of his confidant. He was glad when he was able to form her from the shadows that she came from and has never wished to return her to such. Soon they would be together again and then the work would begin! A new desire has reached Avalon and Salisbury must answer! Magic is sorely needed and the High Lord Wizard must find it! The Book of Merlin is lost and must be found for only the power of Making will strengthen the Honor and Glory that is Avalon!
The mages who develop magic in the towers and laboratories, the Druids who practice their understanding of nature in their groves and holy places, the farmers who feed the countryside, the lords who maintain order in the name of Avalon, the riders of Griffins and Dragons who protect the countryside, the researchers who seek the solution to the threat of the soul-eaters, the merchants who trade with the Great Isle of Avalon, the Greenwood or beyond .all shall be brought together tofind the Book of Merlin! Morglain twists a bit of unmade shadow between his fingers while whistling a soft tune. The shadow takes shape of a dove in the quiet elfs hands. "Go, my friend, sing your song of magic. Make happy the people of Avalon and keep it safe and at peace." The new dove takes flight, singing its lovely song. The shadow guards alert him to the arrival of Alison the Goode and so his attention is turned away from his soft gift to his people and towards the work that is to be done .From the Chronicles of Alison the GoodeArchduke Morglain Sunburst of tHouse of AvalonRoyal Mage of AvalonHigh Lord Protector of the Province of Salisbury
The mysteries of Stonehenge are still buried deep under its stones. The gate has been opened to other lands and soon the forces of Avalon will use its magicks to bring honor and glory to all the Nexus!
